What is the best part about being an Olympian?
Well, Riverview short-track speed skater Travis Jayner and some of his United States teammates appeared in a segment on 'The Colbert Report' television show during the Vancouver Games in February. (Host Stephen Colbert's show was the primary sponsor of the U.S. speed skating team).
...
..he visited the White House last month. He shook hands with President Barack Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden and gave First Lady Michelle Obama a hug.

Jayner resumes training in Utah on Monday for next season. He said he will take his career season by season and is keeping the door open to competing in the next Winter Olympics, in 2014 in Sochi, Russia,

"As long as I can still pay the bills, I'm still having fun and I'm still competitive, I'll keep skating," he said. "I feel lucky and honoured to have this opportunity."

Jayner is studying urban planning through Montreal's Concordia University. He hopes to get involved with the New Brunswick Canada Games team in the future.
