It's not often that an athlete wants to hear that their career has been going in circles for decades.
But to say this to Tania Vicent, the queen of Canada's short-track speedskating program, is to offer her the highest praise.
The 33-year-old native of Montreal suburb Laval has her sights set on Vancouver 2010, which would be her fourth Olympic Winter Games. [...]
'Some people have said, "Maybe she's too old, maybe she's finished," and that bothers me,' short-track speedskater Tania Vicent says. 'It's an extra kick in the butt for me to show people that they're wrong. You can still be doing this if you manage yourself well.'
