U.S. Speedskating has undergone a makeover
September 27, 2007 - JO-ANN BARNAS - FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER
MIDLAND -- Just as its biggest star transformed himself from Olympic gold medalist to celebrity dancer with a sexy samba, U.S. Speedskating has undergone its own drastic makeover since the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. [...]
Chun, a former Korean national team coach who previously worked with the Canadians, has big expectations for U.S. short trackers.
"For 2010 Olympics, three gold medals for boys group; for girls, one silver," Chun said in halted English. "I see eight medals total. Until now, US Speedskating was only Apolo. We need to make other strong skaters. That is my goal."

No Apolo Ohno, but speed skating meet still first class
